Black Bear Alumni Weekend!

The Purpose

Over 90% of addicts who attend an inpatient treatment facility will experience a relapse. This doesn’t mean they are a lost cause and many will fight back from those relapses and still live full lives of joy and meaning.

I remember distinctly how broken I was when I got to Black Bear. I expect we all do. That said, getting to see real authentic Black Bear Brothers and Sisters who went through the trauma of addiction, and through the same treatment being offered to me found sobriety and serenity, would have been an impactful event. 

We can be of service to our fellow addicts and benefit from the experience ourselves. 

 

 

We Will be that impact, that example, and that small motivation that may change and/or possibly save lives!

We Can’t Wait To See You!

Weekend is September 13th through the 15th, Black Bear Lodge, GA

Alumni are required to have had one year of continuous sobriety to attend and participate.
Alumni are invited to share their experience, strength, and hope (time slots to sign up).
Travel and lodging is at one’s own expense however meals while on campus are provided.
PLEASE NOTE:
Participating Alumni attending sessions coinciding with a meal times will be fed by Black Bear at the Theatre
All participating alumni will be required to sign a confidentiality (HIPPA) and liability release upon arrival and registration.
Alumni will be permitted only in the Theatre area, and possibly the Women’s Center and Ballroom. Cabins and other commons areas are prohibited.
Cars may be parked on campus at the Theatre area only and must remain locked at all times.
Cell phones, outside meals/drinks/candy, vapes, and other contraband are strictly prohibited on campus.
If you are not one year sober, please still register! We are going to have some zoom meetings you can participate in!
Also you will one day be one year sober, and by registering you will be added to our contact list for future Alumni events.
